Don joined Jackson & Campbell in 2008 with a strong background in complex commercial litigation and class action defense. He has extensive experience in all phases of trial and appellate litigation in state and federal courts nationwide. He serves as Of Counsel to the Firm’s Insurance Coverage Practice Group.
Before joining Jackson & Campbell, Don handled all aspects of defense in complex commercial cases that involved insurance coverage claims arising out of asbestos, environmental and products claims throughout the country. He also has significant experience serving as defense counsel to members of the financial community, such as banks, mortgage lenders and brokers, in class actions and single loan cases in both federal and state courts.
Don earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Connecticut Law School, where he received the University of Connecticut Law School Foundation Prize Award for Exceptional Scholarship and was Editor-In-Chief of the Connecticut Law Review. He earned a B.F.A. in Journalism from Southern Methodist University in Texas.
In addition to Don’s experience as a litigator, he also has a strong writing and reporting background as a journalist. He was once the National Editor and Assistant Weekend Editor for the Gannet Westchester Rockland newspaper in White Plains, NY, and before that, was a reporter and editor for United Press International in various locations in the U.S.
